Golden Fold

Golden Fold is a hand-built sculptural work shaped through gesture, emotion, and transformation. Its flowing folds and uneven contours carry a sense of movement suspended between tension and release, as though the form is continuously unfolding from within.The sculpture was created intuitively, allowing the material to respond freely during the building process. Embedded within the structure are traces of Arabic letterforms, partially concealed within the folds of the piece, transforming language into texture and memory rather than direct readability.In 2024, the work was finished with a reflective gold surface that changes with light and perspective, revealing shifting shadows, highlights, and depths across the form. The luminous exterior contrasts with the emotional weight carried within the sculpture itself, creating a balance between fragility and strength, concealment and revelation.Rather than representing a fixed figure or object, the work exists as an emotional form — shaped by memory, presence, and the quiet process of transformation
