Info
A suspended mixed-media installation centred on the Arabic name Hassan, presented as a fragmented form held in tension between presence and absence. The main calligraphic element remains recognisable, while surrounding fragments appear to have broken away and drifted from the whole. Suspended on fine lines, the components occupy the space between unity and dispersal, creating a sense of movement and vulnerability. The work explores themes of identity, memory, and transformation. Though fragmented, the name endures, suggesting that meaning can persist even when a form is altered, separated, or disrupted. The smaller surrounding elements act as echoes of the central form, extending its presence beyond the boundaries of the original calligraphy.
