This six-piece ceramic wall composition forms part of the series Journey into the Depths of the Ocean — an ongoing visual exploration of the hidden worlds beneath the surface, where layers intertwine as deeply as emotions do.The work explores the relationship between nature, heritage, and handcrafted form. Each piece is uniquely constructed with an oceanic sensibility, resembling weathered coral, shifting tides, and eroded coastal textures. Intricate Arabian-inspired patterns are embedded throughout the surfaces, reflecting cultural memory and ornamental tradition.Rather than relying on a single glaze, multiple tones of blue and turquoise were layered and softened using sponge techniques to create subtle tonal transitions across the surfaces. These gradual shifts in colour evoke the movement of ocean waves, the changing depths of water, and the meeting of sea and sand. The layered glazing process allows each form to carry a sense of motion and erosion, as though shaped slowly by the sea itself. The deep cobalt and turquoise surfaces enhance a feeling of depth and fluidity, allowing each sculptural form to exist both as an individual artifact and as part of a unified visual rhythm. Every texture leaves a trace — a quiet reflection on time, vulnerability, memory, and the emotional landscapes carried within material.
