Suspended Silence-Teapot

Suspended Silence explores a delicate balance between weight and lightness, stillness and movement. Suspended between earth and air, the ceramic form appears caught in a quiet moment of reflection — fragile yet grounded.The contrast between the natural timber branch and the smoke-marked ceramic surface creates a dialogue between raw material and crafted form. Dark traces move across the vessel like memories, weathered marks, or impressions left by fire and time. The raku firing process, combined with wire, salt, and powdered colour, produces unpredictable textures and subtle variations that give the piece a deeply organic presence.There is an intentional calmness within the work — a suspended moment where imbalance becomes harmony. The sculpture reflects on fragility, resilience, and the quiet beauty found in imperfect forms.
